WALK A MILE IN HER SHOES MARCH 2025
The Swinney Foundation proudly partnered with the Stone Mountain Police Department, City of Stone Mountain, DeKalb County Chiefs Association, the Fraternal Order of Police, and Commisioner Chakire Johnson on Saturday , October 11, 2025 to host the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes March, a powerful community event aimed at raising awareness about domestic violence and the ongoing need to support and protect women and families.
This impactful march brought together law enforcement officers, community leaders, advocates, and residents as they walked symbolically “in her shoes” to stand against violence and uplift survivors. The event received television coverage from FOX 5 News, helping amplify our message across the region.

We'll take care of the rest, sending a thoughtful and uplifting candy gram to your nominee just in time for Valentine's Day. This day is an opportunity for us to show our appreciation for the strength and resilience of single parents, who often juggle multiple roles and responsibilities while raising their children on their own. As a way to celebrate this special day, we send out gift cards to a few lucky single parent participants as a small token of our appreciation.
